COUNTY CONSTABLES
|
Hickman County Constables are elected every two years,
one from each of the seven County Commission Districts. Constables work
closely with the Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies as
required. They do not hold regular meetings as a group as they have no
authority to make policy. They can, however, write citations, serve process
and have the authority to arrest and carry a weapon. Constables are
mandated by State law to be trained and maintain their certification.
