Planned Benefits for Storm Victims:
If your church, school, civic club or volunteer organization is planning a benefit that is intended to aid storm victims in any way, let us know, and we'll do our best to help get the word out.
- An All-Star Disaster Relief Concert is being planned for Saturday, October 9th, in the Agricultural Pavilion at the Hickman County Fairgrounds. The show will begin at 1:00 o'clock that afternoon with the last act closing things down at 11:00 that evening. Headlining the show will be "The Crickets", former band mates with the late Buddy Holly. Also lined up is country/blues singer/songwriter "R.B. Morris", who has toured with John Prine and songwriter "Judson Spence" who toured last summer with Big & Rich and has had songs recorded by Faith Hill. More acts will be announced as they can be scheduled. Proceeds from the event will aid the Hickman County Long-Term Recovery Committee who will then disseminate the funds to area residents who are still rebuilding and getting their lives back in order following the May storms and floods which devastated our community. If you'd like to help with the event, call Barry Choate at 615-394-9406 at the The Coupe in Bon Aqua.
